Hull City have confirmed the departure of Albanian under-21 midfielder Aidon Shehu to Greek Super League side Panathinaikos. The 19-year-old joins the Greek giants for an undisclosed fee, reported to be around £2.6million.
What happened?
Shehu first joined Hull City's under-18 side in August 2024 from Southend United. He scored in a 4-3 victory over Charlton Athletic in the Under-18 Professional Development League season opener and signed his first professional contract ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
Why it matters for Hull City
The sales of Shehu and first-choice goalkeeper Ivor Pandur to Glasgow Rangers for £6m will ensure that City remained fully compliant within profit and sustainability rules over a three-year accounting window ending on June 30.
