Hull City forward Ramell Carter is a loan target for Swindon Town this summer, sources have told Football Insider. The 18-year-old striker is highly regarded at the Tigers and is expected to be involved with the first-team for pre-season before a decision is made on his future. Carter joined Hull City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2014 and penned a professional contract at the club in February. Swindon Town are aiming to increase their firepower after narrowly missing out on the playoffs during the 2025-26 campaign. The club finished the season in ninth, three points off Grimsby Town, who secured the final spot inside the top seven. Ian Holloway may be hoping that Carter can help fill one of the vacancies left by departing players such as Billy Bodin and Junior Hoilett. Hull City are also keen on completing a permanent deal for Leeds United attacker Joe Gelhardt, who scored 14 goals in the Championship on loan at the club. Former Manchester United chief Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Leeds could let Gelhardt leave for a low fee this summer transfer window. With Leeds seemingly open to a deal, confidence is growing that the striker could remain at Hull. However, it remains to be seen if a deal can be struck, with plenty of twists and turns expected over the summer. Swindon were one of the best attacking teams in League Two in the 2025-26 season, netting 70 goals in 46 games. As a result, they ended the campaign as the joint-sixth highest scorers in the second tier, and they will be aiming to improve upon this total in the coming season.
